"I was looking for a place that I could start getting in shape after a couple of years of doing NOTHING. I was looking for a place that would "take care of me" as I am a cancer survivor.
I was diagnosed in April of 2007 with cervical cancer. In May of 2007, I had a radical hysterectomy with lymph node removal. In August and September of 2007, I had six weeks of chemotherapy with daily radiation. Needless to say, I didn't feel well and was unable to get back into a physical routine and felt emotionally drained.
Plābase was introduced to me. Monica spent a lot of time asking many questions about me and my body. We first focused on nutrition. A lot of time was spent on what our family ate currently, how we shopped for food, and what our priorities were for total family health. With Monica's help, I now choose more natural foods for myself and the family.
I feel like I'm alive again. Monica has truly been an inspiration in my life. Where once I only wondered if I could ever get back to where I was prior to cancer, today I am almost back to "normal". Monica has lead me in the right direction and I feel great.
This is what I needed in my life. I needed someone to direct me and help me to take charge again. Life is different now as a cancer survivor, but I sure feel a lot healthier as a result of it. Cancer took me to Plābase, and that's a good thing!"
